RPM Team is proud to serve as the Architect and Engineer of Record for this vital facility, which will provide dignified care for medically fragile individuals.

At RPM Team, we believe that architecture and engineering are about more than just buildings; they are about creating spaces that heal, support, and restore dignity to our communities.

That is why we are encouraged by the recent tentative ruling from the Placer County Superior Court regarding The Gathering Inn’s planned medical respite facility in Lincoln, CA. As the design and engineering partners on this project, we have seen firsthand the vision and compassion behind this initiative, and we are pleased to see hurdles being cleared so this critical work can proceed.

A Validation of Process and Integrity

In a statement released this week, The Gathering Inn shared that the Court’s tentative decision found no violation of grant requirements regarding community engagement. Furthermore, the Court concluded that the California Department of Social Services properly awarded funds for the facility.

Significantly, the decision rejected claims of fraud against The Gathering Inn and its personnel—a ruling the City has stated it will not contest. This validates the integrity of our client and keeps the focus where it belongs: on the people who need help.

Designing for Dignity and Healing

This project represents a crucial gap in the continuum of care for the unhoused population. As The Gathering Inn poignantly stated:

"No one should have to live on the streets while trying to recuperate from surgery, cancer treatment, dialysis, or a debilitating illness."

The new facility is designed specifically to address this need. It will provide a safe, structured environment where medically fragile individuals can recover. This isn't just about housing; it is about providing the physical infrastructure necessary to improve health outcomes and reduce homelessness simultaneously.

Looking Ahead

We look forward to the final ruling and the opportunity to continue our work with The Gathering Inn. Our team remains committed to delivering a facility that meets the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compassionate design.

We are eager to help turn this vision into a reality, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our community have a place to heal with dignity.
