Moffet Field

In 2014, Google secured a significant piece of real estate by leasing Moffett Field from NASA for a staggering 60 years. This 1,000-acre parcel, encompassing historic hangars and runways, presented Google with a unique opportunity. They envisioned the revitalized site as a hub for innovation, potentially housing projects that developed cutting-edge spacecraft, drones, robots, and even internet-delivering balloons.

Meanwhile, Google was addressing a separate logistical need. To expand their bus maintenance operations, the project’s Construction Manager collaborated with a RPM Team to construct a series of six fabric buildings that would seamlessly complement their existing structures. These new facilities will serve a multitude of purposes, functioning as maintenance bays, painting areas, break rooms for staff, and storage for materials.
